DIELINE Awards Concept
A dedicated competition for student and conceptual packaging design — with significantly reduced entry fees, a separate jury of experts, and full winner recognition equal to the main competition.
Enter the Concept Awards →Students currently enrolled in any design program.
Unpublished professional concept work.
Speculative projects that push the boundaries of what packaging can be.
If it hasn't launched commercially, it belongs here.
The Concept track is judged by a dedicated jury of global packaging design experts — the same calibre that judges the main competition, focused entirely on conceptual and student work.
Winners receive full DIELINE recognition — trophy eligibility, feature on DIELINE.com, a custom digital winner seal, and Instagram coverage — equal to every main competition winner.
2026 → 2027
Concept and student winners share the same DIELINE stage as the global brands and agencies competing alongside them. Same trophy. Same recognition. Same future career conversations.

New for 2027

Conceptual food packaging across snacks, ingredients, ready meals, and beyond.
Conceptual beverage packaging — alcoholic and non-alcoholic, functional and refreshment.
Conceptual work across skincare, cosmetics, personal care, wellness, and supplements.
Household, e-commerce, electronics, office, entertainment, and beyond.
Conceptual brand identity systems and connected/digital packaging experiences.
Conceptual sustainability, circular systems, refill/reuse, and luxury packaging.
Top Honors
Significantly reduced entry fees. The same project may not be entered in both Concept and the main competition unless commercially produced.
Concept & Student entries are $85 per submission during the Celebration Flash window — by design, the most accessible entry point in the competition. Rates step up at each subsequent deadline.
If you've built a concept that pushes packaging forward — or you're a student whose portfolio deserves the world's attention — there's a category for you.
